About Taryn

Taryn is a mother to three small children aged 6, 4 and 2.

She has known her husband for some 20 years. They went to high school together and she couldn't shake him off, so she married him instead. During the time they have been married he has grown from being a skinny dude into a bulky dude and Taryn is forever buying him bigger clothes because he keeps acquiring bigger muscles. He has begun to take up more than his allocated space in the wardrobe and she is not impressed.

She spends her spare time internet shopping using her most prized devices - her growing collection of Apple gadgets.  She loves to blog and write about her life. She overshares. She drinks too much coffee. She is a little bit addicted to social media. She is a crazy organiser person.

She is always early. This is a genetic predisposition and she cannot take responsibility for this.

More recently she has become Sugar Free. She is feeling quite remarkable at the moment and enjoying much freedom from escaping her sugar addiction.

Since quitting sugar she has awakened from her "sugar coma" and has become strangely interested in nutrition. She spends a lot of time reading about food online and also from her growing collection of nutrition books.

What she finds is that what we are being told to eat is actually wrong. This makes her cranky. She is now determined to change the world and get everyone eating more butter. She has decided to study Nutrition and will begin in 2013. After such time (4 - 6 years) she will become an expert on the topic and will become only a handful of nutritionists armed with the correct information about what you should be eating. Then she will write her book and become famous. Robert Pattinson may also come to her house and stroke her hair lovingly while telling her how much he adores her.

She has a keen interest in baking using no sugar or very little sugar. She avoids hydrogenated oils like the plague and also avoids soy. Since most processed foods contain some if not all of these three ingredients, she avoids buying food sitting in pretty packaging on supermarket shelves. This blog comes for the ride as Taryn discovers all she can about food and the types of food we should be eating.

She is very distrustful of Nutritionists you might find on television. They are more concerned with their bank balance and fame than your health. This is the reality.

Just eat real food.
